The problem
Career guidance was scattered. Someone weighing a change would take an assessment on one site, hunt for courses on another, and scroll job boards with no sense of how any of it connected. The result was a lot of effort and very little direction.
What we built
CareerAid brings the whole journey into one product:
- Personalized assessments that profile strengths, interests and gaps.
- Skill-development resources recommended from each user's results, so the next step is obvious.
- Job matching that surfaces roles aligned to the profile.
- Payments with Stripe for premium plans, handled securely end to end.
It's built on Node.js, ExpressJS and PostgreSQL, with a Tailwind CSS front end and Nginx in production.
The result
CareerAid launched as a single place to go from "I'm not sure what's next" to a concrete plan — assessment, skills and matching in one flow, instead of three disconnected tools.
The goal was simple: make the next step obvious. Everything in the product points toward it.
